Look at all of those people ready to shuffle! A couple friends, my mom and I ran in the Shamrock Shuffle yesterday. I’ve actually participated for six years straight now. It’s a well organized, fun 8K that I’d definitely recommend.
After working up an appetite we went to Park Grill in Millennium Park to refuel. They had the craziest looking Bloody Mary that was garnished with a salted rim and served with celery, olives, lemon, lime, shrimp, vienna beef stick and dilly beans…it had the most toppings I’ve ever seem on a drink! I ordered a Two Brother’s Northwind Imperial Stout which was tasty.
My friend and I split two dishes, Crab Cake Benedict and a Chicken Sandwich with sun dried tomato olive relish, buratta cheese and spinach on herb focaccia. Both were good, but the Crab Cake Benedict was my favorite. It included two english muffins with poached egg (we got scrambled egg instead) and tabasco hollandaise sauce. Park Grill is a little pricey, but everyone enjoyed their food…definitely a great post-race meal!
